How it all began.

Hi! I’m Ann, I’ve always had a love for crocheting but when I retired my hooks kept me busy. One Christmas my eldest daughter Kay brought me a miniature teddy bear crochet pattern and my love for making miniature artisan bears was born. Once I started, I couldn’t stop, I became hooked on making bears, dreaming them up, fantasising about what outfits I could create for them and watching each little character and personality develop though the crochet hook.
I crochet all the time, even kept a little hook and cotton spool in my handbag so I can crochet on the go!

Kay soon joined me in creating little miniatures of her own creations using clay! We then started to attend craft fairs and artisan markets, show casing our mini makes and after much debating “Kayanne Kreations” was born! After all there’s only so much room in a little bungalow for all the bears to live!

After a few years circumstances changed and Kay had to take a step back. Sammie, my youngest daughter, then became my righthand helping me get to craft fairs and setting up. After doing this for a few months she learnt to crochet and sew, selling what she made as and when she could. Her love for making crochet toys grew and she is now a full-time member creating crochet toys and helping me with all the paperwork and computer business. Due to government changes anything we make that looks like a toy now has to be fully tested and compliant with the UKCA mark and Trading Standards. Sammie has come into her own during the process making sure everything we sell is safe and conforms to the regulations.

Now, here we are in 2024 ready for a new year.
Kay is still very much a part of Kayanne Kreations, but in the background helping us with the next big plan. Sammie and I are working our magic hooks to bring you the best of what we do!
